Karen J. Riffel Karen J. Riffel has a degree in Botany and is a qualified teacher of Languages and Science. She lives and works in Mid-Wales and in 2000 set up Treehigh Enterprises to produce a range of educational resources and teaching materials for second language Welsh learners. While learning Welsh as an adult Karen realised that there was a lack of teaching materials for children learning Welsh. Following extensive research in schools she has produced a range of books and cards. Karen has created all the illustrations for her books and has had numerous exhibitions of the artwork. Through Treehigh Enterprises she is diversifying into general publishing. In 2002 she published 'Walk of Life' by Mike Barratt. Future projects include the publication of short stories and other fiction as well as books of general interest.
